A few weeks remain before the frost. It is the last window to seal, repair or pave before winter goes to work on open cracks.

Written warranty · In black and white

A verbal warranty
is worth nothing in April.

“Don’t worry, we guarantee it.” Guarantee what? For how long? Against what? If it is not written in your quote, it does not exist. Ours is, in black and white, before you sign.

In black and white

Seven promises. Written, signed, included.

A warranty you can’t see doesn’t exist. Here are the seven commitments you will find in every quote, word for word.

Asphalte Pro Québec

Our 7-point commitment

  1. A written, detailed quote.

Measured surface area, foundation thickness, compacted asphalt thickness, drainage, warranty: everything is written before you sign.

  2. A firm price.

The price on the quote is the price on the invoice. No extra that was not requested and approved by you, in writing.

  3. We tell you what the base allows, and what it does not.

If the foundation does not hold, we tell you, even if that means a higher quote, or no contract.

  4. Hot asphalt, machine laid, roller compacted.

The compacted thickness written in the contract is the one you get.

  5. A date we keep.

Weather permitting. If rain gets in the way, you are told the day before, not the same morning.

  6. A clean job site.

Debris hauled away, clean edges, grounds cleaned up before we leave.

  7. A written warranty.

Against workmanship and material defects, with the term written on your quote. A problem? You call us, we come back.

What it covers

The written warranty, concretely.

A warranty covers workmanship and material defects. Here is what that means on a driveway or a parking lot.

  • The workmanship

Compaction, thickness after the roller, slopes, transitions and joints: if the work was not done as written in the quote, it is a workmanship defect, and it is covered.

  • The materials

Crushed stone, hot asphalt, sealer: what is laid is what is written. A non-compliant material is a material defect, and it is covered.

  • What is written

What the warranty covers, what it excludes, its term (the term written on your quote) and who to call: it is all in the document you sign, not in a conversation.

What the warranty does not replace

Maintenance. A sealer applied at the right time, snow removal without a steel blade flush against the surface, a crack closed before winter: that is what makes a driveway last, warranty or not. You also leave with the maintenance instructions on the day of paving.

What we commit to in writing.

No salesperson’s promises. Five commitments you will find in your quote.

Every commitment is written into your quote, line by line. That is what lets you compare us with anyone else, and hold us accountable.

Asphalte Pro Québec

Commitments included in every quote

  1. 1. A quote that details every step

Excavation, foundation, asphalt thickness, drainage, finishing: every item is written down. You can compare line by line with anyone else.

  2. 2. A firm price

The price on the quote is the price on the invoice. If an unforeseen condition requires a change, we explain it and you approve it BEFORE, never after.

  3. 3. A written warranty

Our work is guaranteed against workmanship and material defects. The terms are written in your quote, not said over the phone.

  4. 4. The owner on site

You talk to the person doing the work, before, during and after. No salesperson, no unknown subcontractor showing up in the morning.

  5. 5. An honest diagnosis

If a repair or a resurfacing is enough, we tell you, even if it earns us less than a rebuild. We would rather have a client who comes back than a forced sale.

Questions about the warranty

What we get asked about the warranty.

Do you offer a warranty?

Yes. Our paving work is guaranteed against installation and material defects. The terms of the warranty are written in black and white in your quote, not said over the phone.

I don’t know your company.

Fair enough, and that’s why we put everything in writing. You meet the owner during the visit, you receive a detailed quote, and nothing happens without your approval. You don’t take our word for it: you judge us on what we write and on what we do.

What if it cracks anyway?

Our work is guaranteed in writing against installation and material defects; the terms are in your quote. And because the owner is on every job site, you know exactly who to call, and he answers.

Does resurfacing last as long as a new driveway?

On a sound base, a resurfacing done right (tack coat, hot-mix asphalt, roller compaction) performs like a new surface. On a sunken base, it won’t last: that’s why we always assess the base before proposing it.
